HASbags make beautiful folding shopping totes. The company began as a reusable way to wrap gifts for friends. Rather than using boxes and paper I began sewing unique tote bags using fabrics, trims and ribbons I gathered around the world. I was asked by friends to design a folding bag that was less bulky to carry than canvas shopping bags and after some trial and error come up with the current design.
I feel that over time the shopping tote will become a new fashion accessory. I choose fabrics and trims that are fashionable enough to bring to a department store but strong enough to carry groceries everyday.

I looked around at the stone walls and natural beauty and felt my heart smile. That quote inspires what I make, hoping that whatever fills your eye, enlivens your heart and helps you feel companionship as you make your way through your own emotions, thoughts and life. I paint both abstract and underwater works and when I am not painting, I like to hammer metal and sculpt jewelry. I think both making and viewing abstraction can offer us a pause in our grasping for meaning and images, and thus, quiet the daily noise that distracts us from hearing our own voices. An abstract design is unexpected, and with a beginners mind, we can engage the present moment. In my jewelry, both abstraction and the tactile sensation of touch are important.
